Xiaoyu Weng

Based in New York, Xiaoyu Weng joined the Foundation’s team in 2024. She has held leadership role and curatorial positions at various international institutions. From 2021-2023, she was head of the modern and contemporary art department at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) in Toronto, Canada, a prestigious role encompassing oversight of exhibitions, programming, and collection growth. Prior to her tenure at AGO, she served as associate curator at the Solomon R. Guggenheim in New York, where she curated acclaimed exhibitions such as ‘Tales of Our Time’ (2016–17) and ‘One Hand Clapping’ (2018), exploring the responses of Chinese artists to globalization. Weng’s curatorial endeavors also include her curation of the fifth Ural Industrial Biennial in 2018–19 in Yekaterinburg. From 2010 to 2015, she held the position of director and curator of Asia Programs at Kadist Art Foundation.

Wong Binghao

Wong Binghao (Bing) is a writer, editor, and curator who approaches art essayistically. They are invested in developing emotionally rigorous discourses around contemporary art practices, especially through transfeminist approaches to gender, love, popular cultures, new media and technology. This practice manifests as essays and discursive curatorial projects. Concurrent with a decade of independent curatorial practice, they have seven years of institutional experience across curatorial, publishing, and program departments, including as C-MAP Asia Fellow for the Museum of Modern Art, New York from 2020–2023. They are editorial and creative director of 5G Bing, an internet grimoire.

Naomi Tan

Naomi is an experienced communications professional with a strong understanding of the art world, shaped by her extensive background in gallery management, exhibition curation, and strategic communications. Prior to joining Tanoto Art Foundation, Naomi worked with international art galleries such as Whitestone Gallery and Tang Contemporary Art, where she drafted press releases, artist bios, and other key communication materials. Her passion for art and storytelling drives her to create meaningful platforms where artists can share their voices and ideas, while establishing deeper connections between creative communities and the wider public. At Tanoto Art Foundation, she continues to leverage her communications expertise to amplify the foundation’s mission of celebrating art, seeding cultural exchange, and facilitating opportunities and engagements.

Tobias Berger

Based in Hong Kong, Berger now serves as the Curatorial Director at Serakai Salons and Projects. Tobias was Head of Art and Curator at Large at Tai Kwun Contemporary between 2015 to 2024. From 2010-2015 Tobias served as the first Curator of Visual Arts for the M+ Museum in Hong Kong. During his career, Tobias has served in various curatorial roles for institutions across the region and globally including at the Nam June Paik Art Center (Korea), Para/Site Art Space (Hong Kong), ARTSPACE, Auckland and Museum Fridericianum (Germany). He also curated the Baltic Triennial of International Arts, the Fotofestival Manheim, Ludwigshafen and Heidelberg, the Hong Kong pavilion at the Venice Biennale, and the New Zealand pavilion at the Sao Paulo Biennial.
